Check out this great article in the WA Post Click here Here an excerpt “Look at that hot-pink socket!” said Dan Horkey, an amputee who has set out to infuse art into artificial limbs. Horkey, 51, said he felt better the day he threw away his dull, flesh-hued...
I chose to have a patriotic theme with our flag, a Marine Corps Emblem and my dates of service on my prosthetic to show everyone that I have served and I am very proud of it. My pride goes up every time people see it and the reaction is “OH WOW IS THAT COOL” The work done by GTOPI.com offers a unique one of a kind product and that is just what I wanted.

Dan, What a great job you did on my socket! Just imagine stepping out onto a golf course and hearing them whisper, “Hey he is bilateral amputee, wow”. Then all a sudden you hear a loud outburst, “Where did you get that chrome socket? That is so neat and shiny.” Thanks again, Partner!

Since I lost my leg, artwork has always been a part of my rehabilitation. I want something that looks better than the fabric they have been laminating on my sockets. Thanks for applying the USMC and Combat Warrior art on my prosthetics, this looks awesome.
Aaron (Ret. USMC)
For as long as I have been an Amputee, I have never had such a beautiful leg. My friends, even strangers say the same thing. You have made me the happiest woman in the world.

My patient John was in for a 2 month follow up, and the prosthetic socket you painted black with the Bears tattoo still looks like it just came out of the box.
I’m fitting a patient with another Harmony socket, and I want to do another custom painted finish for my patient.
Thanks Dan, my patient really loves showing his prosthetic leg.

I want to be pro-active and ward off any potential negative comments from the children. As his mother and biggest fan, I promised Maddox that when the time came for him to start kindergarten that he would have the ‘coolest’ orthopedic brace there ever was. My goal is for others not to necessarily see the brace but the artwork that is on the brace. If he is to receive any attention, I want it to be positive.

I’ve always wanted to express my love for America by sporting the Statue of Liberty on my leg. Now, I wear shorts when I’m golfing. Thanks Dan for the beautiful black paint job and airbrush work on my prosthetic.

I contacted Dan Horkey, sent him the picture my son designed and we got together to discuss options and prices.
It’s so much nicer than I could have even imagined. The Koi represents my courage and perseverance.

It’s funny that I used to get upset when people would stare at my prosthesis, but now with the Flash and Superman art work people will be astonished. Great company and great work. I am very pleased.

I call this leg my Power Leg. Having the Ranger tab, scroll and crest custom airbrushed on my prosthetic, makes me feel like I’m back with my guys. Having this artwork done, made me push myself harder to recover from my loss. Thanks Dan for all you do for us. Rangers Lead The Way!
